Between wrapping and shipping Christmas presents and packing and labeling personal items for a move from Orinda to Walnut Creek, Stephen Curry had seen more than his fair share of cardboard boxes the past two weeks.
But there he was Saturday, having surrounded himself again in cardboard boxes.
Curry and his family were at Beebe Memorial Cathedral, handing out 25-pound boxes of food and 10-pound boxes of toiletry essentials to about 400 Oakland families.
“He’s unbelievable,” Warriors interim head coach Luke Walton said. “He made a comment the other day about it being too soon, if he ever saw another cardboard box, and I was thinking, ‘What superstar has anything to do with his own move?
