Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was named NBA Western Conference Coach of the Month for games played in March, the league announced today. Kerr led the Warriors to a league-best 15-2 record during a month that saw the team establish franchise records for single-season wins (68) and single-season road wins (32) while setting the NBA record for consecutive regular-season home wins (now 54-straight).
At 68-7 (.907), the Warriors own the best record through 75 games in NBA history and are the sixth team ever to win 68 games in a single campaign. Golden State joined the Chicago Bulls, who followed an NBA-record 72-win season in 1995-96 with 69 wins in 1996-97, as the only teams in NBA history to win at least 65 games in consecutive seasons.
