NEW ORLEANS — Even with a new address, Kevin Durant is connected to Oklahoma City.
Positive Tomorrows, an Oklahoma City elementary school for homeless children, announced Tuesday that it has received a $57,000 donation from Durant’s charity foundation. The gift unlocked an anonymous $50,000 challenge grant that will allow Positive Tomorrows to purchase land for a new facility.
This is the fourth straight year Durant has donated to the school. Last December, his $35,000 gift helped Positive Tomorrows stock food and build a kitchen.
In July, Durant signed with the Warriors after eight seasons with the Thunder.
