AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Draymond Green watched the birth of his son Thursday morning from a plane at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
When the Warriors’ forward caught his first glimpse of Draymond Jr. on FaceTime, he shrieked with excitement. The stewardess stopped to make sure everything was OK.
“I’m sorry,” Green told her. “There’s kind of a lot going on right here.”
By Friday evening, he was back with his team at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Green had no qualms about quickly rejoining the lineup against the Pistons, his home-state NBA team, because his baby boy and longtime girlfriend, Jelissa Hardy, are healthy.
