OAKLAND – Among the many good things the Cleveland Cavaliers did to extend their NBA Finals life in Game 4, the most overlooked one was that they didn’t let Stephen Curry do squat.
Yes, that’s a touchy term after how people perceived Curry’s curious midcourt gesture in Game 3, but it’s apropos. Curry took just 13 shots in the Warriors’ 137-116 Game 4 loss. His four makes, his mere two 3-pointers and his 14-point total were all personal lows for these entire playoffs.
That was particularly striking in light of the fact that the Cavs seemed to have no answer for Curry in the first three games.
