Leeds (AL) 2016 four-star quarterback TaDarryl Marshall spoke with 247Sports this month, telling the site that the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are out in front in the race to sign him.
"Basically, they run the same offense as my high school does," Marshall said, via Taylor Hamm of 247Sports. "I'm very comfortable running the triple option and I have a close relationship with the coaches there. I'll probably make a commitment at the end of my senior season."
While GT leads now, in-state competition looms as both the Auburn Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide are expected to heavily recruit Marshall in the spring. However, with an offer already in hand to a school and system he's comfortable with, both schools' interest may come too late.
The other schools to have extended Marshall an offer at this time are Georgia Southern, Navy, and South Alabama, while Louisville, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt have all expressed interest.
