Following a weekend series loss to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, the Florida State Seminoles bounced back with a midweek win over the North Florida Ospreys. In the victory, Florida State connected on its ninth grand slam of the season, a school record. The slam helped propel FSU to a 10-2 win over UNF.
This weekend, the Seminoles (32-8, 11-7) look to make a statement against the Duke Blue Devils. The Blue Devils (29-12, 13-8) have fared well against top competition, with three top-25 series wins this season. Most recently Duke took two of three against the Virginia Tech Hokies before being thumped 18-4 in the midweek by Campbell University.
