JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 5, 2016) – The FIU track and field team concluded the regular season with yesterday's mid-week competition at the North Florida Twilight Invitational. FIU held seven top-3 finishes on both the women's and the men's side, with a highlighted performance by senior Marcus Ghent (Cheverly, Md. / Northwestern).
Ghent's performance on the day landed him a third place finish in the triple jump and a new personal record of 15.43m. He was just 0.08m shy of tying the school record. Ghent's previous PR (15.31m) was marked at the 2015 Conference USA Indoor Championship where he received all-conference recognition for his performance.
