The Florida Gators knocked off the Georgia Bulldogs for the second straight season, beating them 27-3. The win keeps Florida in first place in the SEC East, while Georgia is freefalling down the conference standings. Here are three things we learned from each team in the game:
Florida Gators
Treon Harris is good enough. Many thought Florida's SEC chances went down the drain when starting QB Will Grier was suspended for the remainder of the season, but that hasn't happened because of Harris' play. He completed over 50 percent of his passes yet again for 155 yards and a touchdown on just 15 attempts, keeping this offense humming at an efficient rate.
Kelvin Taylor is a stud. Florida's running back dominated Georgia's defense all day long, running for 121 yards and two touchdowns on just 25 carries.
Florida's defense is as good as they've ever been. They've held teams to 10 points or fewer in four of the past six games, and there's a good chance they'll do the same in their last two SEC games against Vanderbilt and South Carolina.
Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia's QB situation is downright awful. Greyson Lambert and Brice Ramsey proved they weren't good enough to win games as UGA's quarterback, so how would Faton Bauta do in his first career start? Producing the worst performance of the season, passing for just 154 yards and four interceptions. The Bulldogs just don't have an answer under center on their roster.
Turnovers are a major, major issue. The Bulldogs continue a troubling trend that started against Alabama, turning it over five more times against the Gators. They've now turned it over 11 times in the last four games.
How good is Nick Chubb? The fact that Chubb's production had the Bulldogs as a top ten team in the country - this UGA team that has lost three of their last four games - showcases just how good Nick Chubb is.
