Former Florida quarterback and current SEC Network analyst Tim Tebow expressed his support of current Gators coach Will Muschamp during 'SEC Nation' Saturday morning.
Muschamp has been rumored to be on his way out of Gainesville due to the teams' struggles over the last two season.
Tebow reiterated that Florida's offense has major problems, but called Muschamp a "very good coach" and placed a majority of the blame on the players.
“I don’t think they’ve played up to their potential,” he said. “Offensively, I don’t think they have an identity. I don’t think that they have a leader that is taking people together and saying ‘Hey, let’s do our job.’ [Muschamp] knows how to lead a team, he knows how to be successful, but to do that, they have to find a way to score points and they have to have better leadership offensively to do that.”
Tebow also pointed out that the Gators have been just a few mistakes away from being a team on the rise, citing a late-game dropped touchdown pass against LSU.
He urged Florida fans not to boo and to show "character as fans".
