According to multiple well-placed sources in the Colorado State athletic department, Florida AD Jeremy Foley has been at CSU Head Coach Jim McElwain's house since early this afternoon discussing the Gators' head coaching job, and McElwain is expected to accept.
McElwain is expected to return to Gainesville with Foley, with a press conference expected Wednesday or Thursday.
Earlier Tuesday, a Colorado State recruit told 247 Sports that he was informed McElwain is leaving for Florida. McElwain, Alabama's offensive coordinator from 2008-2011, is 22-16 in three seasons with CSU, which had struggled through three consecutive 3-9 seasons before his arrival. The Rams are currently 10-2, and made their first appearance in the AP Top 25 in over a decade this season.
