The tight-end position is becoming a big part of real life NFL but is still mediocre in terms of fantasy. Aside from the top performer in Jimmy Graham after that the point separation is huge. This distance between the first and second tight-end is unlike any other position. But do you take a TE in the first round? That my friend, is up to you.

Player(prev) | Notes |
1. Jimmy Graham, TE, NO | One of the better "pass-catchers" in the league. Graham is in his own tier at the tight-end position. |
2. Julius Thomas, TE, DEN | Exploded on to the scene last season and is the No. 1 TE in this offense with no competition. |
3. Rob Gronkowski, TE, NE | Health is the only concern, if healthy he could be in the top two. |
4. Vernon Davis, TE, SF | Davis tied career highs in yards per catch (16.3) and TD (13) last season. Now 30-years-old, Davis is in line to repeat his success from last year. |
5. Jordan Cameron, TE, CLE | The best receiving option in Cleveland and could have an excellent season. Will hold good value with or without Josh Gordon. |
6. Greg Olsen, TE, CAR | A completely new receiving core in Carolina leaves Olsen to be the only familiar face for Cam Newton. Candidate to lead the Panthers in receiving yards. |
7. Jason Witten, TE, DAL | Has always been a favorite target for QB Tony Romo and this season will be no different. |
8. Jordan Reed, TE, WSH | Incredibly talented and already receiving high praise from Robert Griffin III this offseason. |
9. Dennis Pitta, TE, BAL | Missed most of last season due to a hip injury but is said to be healthy and may be used all over the formation. |
10. Zach Ertz, TE, PHI | Ertz is really starting to look like a breakout candidate and his athleticism makes him a good fit in Chip Kelly's up-tempo offense. |
11. Kyle Rudolph, TE, MIN | Okay, maybe I'm starting to warm up to the guy a little bit. Lost some weight and hopes to play faster. |
12. Martellus Bennett, TE, CHI | With all the attention going to Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery, Bennett will have plenty of room to operate. |
13. Antonio Gates, TE, SD | Gates is still the No. 1 TE in San Diego but is 34-years-old and may slow down. This ranking is out of respect for the player that he is. |
14.LaDarius Green, TE, SD | There has been plenty of hype for this big, ultra-athletic tight end and I'm starting to buy in. Only worry is that Gates and Green could cancel each other out. |
15. Jared Cook, TE, STL | Is this the year that Jared Cook lives up to the hype? Maybe. Who's to say it won't be? |
16. Heath Miller, TE, PIT | Used to be a "sexy" pick. Key words "used to." But still presents good value here. |
17. Charles Clay, TE, MIA | Clay has proven to be a reliable receiving option in Miami and could flirt with TE1 numbers if the Dolphins offense can figure it out. |
18. Eric Ebron, TE, DET | Freakish athlete who has struggled with drops throughout camp, but should carve out a role sooner than later. Pass-heavy offense. |
19. Coby Fleener, TE, IND | Doubled his receptions and more than doubled his yardage last season from his rookie year. If the arrow keeps trending upward, Fleener could be in for a solid campaign. |
20. Tyler Eifert, TE, CIN | Has good sleeper appeal after the Marvin Jones injury freed up some playing time in the slot. |
