DES MOINES, Iowa -- Drake junior Tucker DeVries was recognized regionally and nationally for his two outstanding performances that led to a pair of wins last week. DeVries was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week and Lou Henson National Player of the Week, the organizations announced on Monday, Jan. 15.
This is DeVries' second MVC Player of the Week honor this season. DeVries averaged 31.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists during wins over Indiana State and Southern Illinois. He matched his career-high of six made 3-pointers contributing to his 29 points while grabbing six rebounds and dishing out four assists in the 89-78 win over Indiana State on Wednesday.
