The Detroit Pistons have been trying to deal shooting guard Jodie Meeks, and they've found a trade partner. Shams Charania of The Vertical reports the Pistons are dealing Meeks to the Orlando Magic.
The Pistons are getting a 2019 second round pick in exchange. Meeks is in the final year of a three-year, $19.5 million contract he signed with Detroit in 2014.
Meeks has played in only 63 games with the Pistons because of injuries. But when healthy, he's a 3-point shooting specialist. The Magic had room to take on Meeks' contract.
The Magic traded SG Victor Oladipo to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Serge Ibaka during the draft. Meeks will join Evan Fournier and Mario Hezonja on the Magic's depth chart at SG.
