ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – When the Denver Broncos were making their offseason plans this past winter, they quickly decided the price tag for Julius Thomas was way too high, as in waaay too high.
That they needed some other things, that Thomas didn’t block well enough for their liking with a new tight-end-centric offense on the way. Thomas secured a five-year, $46 million deal from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
But whether the Broncos would admit it or not, they proved this week that they do miss Thomas and the 24 touchdown catches he had in the previous two seasons, at least a little bit.
