The Denver Broncos are still looking for help at the quarterback position despite trading for Mark Sanchez, and free agent Robert Griffin III seems to be the guy they have the most interest in. Head coach Gary Kubiak raved about Griffin said that the team is still looking at signing him:
"He is one of the free guys out there," Kubiak said at the NFL owners' meetings. "He's obviously been part of the conversation. We'll see what happens; he's a talented young man.
"He's very athletic, moves around ... another player who's played in some big games. Obviously he hasn't played much in the last year and a half ... but he's still young, very young kid, all those things he's got working for him. I'm sure he's looking for the best possible opportunity for himself. Guys like that bounce back, they've done good things before, and they expect to do good things again."
Denver has been in desperate need of a quarterback since Peyton Manning retiredand Brock Osweiler signed with the Houston Texans, and they have been mum on their plans at quarterback after trading for Sanchez. They have also been connected to Ryan Fitzpatrick, but they quickly moved on after learning of Fitzpatrick's asking price.
Griffin is also receiving heavy interest from the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets, both of whom he has visited over the course of the past few weeks. He didn't appear in a single game for the Redskins last season, but did throw for 1,694 yards, four touchdowns, and six interceptions in nine games in 2014.
