Update: 1:30 pm ET, Friday, Jan. 18th
The Cowboys and Scott Linehan are parting ways and the Cowboys will be looking for a new offensive coordinator. Jason Garrett, in a statement said, "This was not an easy decision because of how highly we regard Scott Linehan as a football coach and as a person... we ultimately agreed that it would be in the best interest of all the parties involved if we were to make a change at this position."
Original Story (From 3:50 pm ET, Sunday Jan. 13th) is below:
The Dallas Cowboys season has come to an end after its 30-22 loss against the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round, which means it’s time for the Cowboys to address its team and staff and consider making some changes. At the top of the list is the need to fire Scott Linehan.
Linehan has been on the hot seat all season long and his seat is even hotter after the Cowboys were knocked out of the NFL Playoffs. The Cowboys’ offense did not meet expectations and was inconsistent throughout the 2018 season, which brings up the question if the Cowboys will fire Linehan and replace him as offensive coordinator.
Dallas Cowboys Report host Tom Downey gives you his top 15 candidates to replace Scott Linehan as Offensive Coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys. This list consists of a few coaches who are currently without a job, some up and coming coaches and veteran coaches who have proven they can perform at an elite level.
SPOILER ALERT: No, Tony Romo is not on the list. Tom explains why in the latest edition of the Dallas Cowboys Report.
