The offseason is here for the Dallas Cowboys and that means it's time for a look at their top needs. Those key free agency and draft needs include defensive end, wide receiver, tight end, defensive tackle and safety.
But those aren’t the only top 2019 Cowboys needs, as several key positions (coaching staff doesn’t count) could use added depth or even a new starter. Although the draft and free agency are still many weeks (or months) away, we can take a look at what the Cowboys need in 2019.
Defensive End is at the top, but only because DeMarcus Lawrence is a free agent. Free agency also puts WR at the top, with Cole Beasley and Tavon Austin as pending free agents, along with some possible cap cuts. Defensive Tackle, with David Irving likely not returning, is a top need too. Watch out for early draft picks to be spent on the offensive line, safety and tight end. But remember, the Cowboys 2019 draft picks don’t include a first rounder.
