The Dallas Cowboys have needed pass rushing help since DeMarcus Ware was cut. They've drafted DeMarcus Lawrence and signed Greg Hardy and Jeremy Mincey to help fill the void. However, the best option might be Randy Gregory.
Hardy is out for the first four games, so Lawrence and Mincey were expected to start. But Gregory has looked dominate in each of his games, recording a sack in both. The stats don't even tell the whole story as Gregory has drawn several holding penalties.
Defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli has been impressed with Gregory so far.
“I felt him out there,” Marinelli told the Dallas Morning News. “Until you watch the tape and stuff [you don’t know for sure]. I felt his presence. I thought he had some good rushes out there and physical in the run game. I like him a lot.”
If Gregory keeps playing the way he has been, he might just force the Cowboys to start him.
