It's been a rough offseason for the Dallas Cowboys, with multiple players suspended. DE David Irving is among that group, and he's hinted on Twitter that he was in danger of having his suspension extended by the NFL.
Here's the now-deleted Tweet from Irving.
Irving was suspended after taking a supplement in the offseason that included a PED. Irving claimed it was an accident and that the substance wasn't even listed on the bottle. Still, Irving was suspended for four games by the NFL. His tweet alludes to a policy present in several NFL suspensions: seeing a counselor after a suspension.
But Irving has since had a follow-up tweet, indicating nothing is going to happen. Mike Fisher tweeted something similar.
Calm down guys ... nothing happened. I'm just saying ...

I think @Caliboy_95 is frustrated w the system but I'm told he's taken step today to render this a non-issue. #Cowboys @1053thefan https://t.co/URIZRcgt1D

Here's what those tweets likely mean: Irving had not begun meeting with a counselor, something the NFL asked him to do when it handed down the suspension. Irving was frustrated when the NFL reminded him to do so, apparently with the threat of adding on to his suspension. Now, based on Fisher's tweet, Irving has set up meetings with a counselor.

So, Irving will still miss the first four games of the NFL season. However, he appears safe from further discipline and will be back on the field for Week 5.
