The Dallas Cowboys are looking for answers along the defensive line this offseason as they try to improve their pass rush, and one player has really stood out in OTAs so far.
According to Bryan Broaddus of the Cowboys' official website, defensive end Damontre Moore has really turned heads and is currently projected to start at right defensive end.
If the season started this weekend, Damontre Moore would likely be your starter at right end. There were questions about his work ethic and attitude but he has come in and worked extremely hard to earn a spot on this roster.
The majority of Moore’s work has come against Tyron Smith, which is never easy, but he’s been more than up to the challenge. He’s even accepted a role on the special teams and lined up as a standup linebacker/pass rusher.
Moore has never started a game in his four-year career, but that's not going to stop the Cowboys from putting him on the field if he continues to play well.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pounder was an All-American at Texas A&M during his junior season and declared early for the NFL, but fell to the third round.
Moore played four games for the Seattle Seahawks last season, recording just seven tackles and half a sack. In his career, he has 77 tackles, 10 sacks, four passes batted and two forced fumbles.
