Dallas Cowboys starting left tackle Tyron Smith missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday with groin and back issues, and if he can't go, Byron Bell will start in his place this weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to multiple reports.
Smith sat out of Dallas' loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, and the Cowboys gave up eight sacks in his absence. Chaz Green started at left tackle in place of Smith in that game, but after giving up four sacks, he was replaced by Bell, who gave up two sacks on the final two drives of the game.
However, Bell says he's ready for the start.
“Just coming off the ball and getting to the junction point, just being physical with the guy and using hands and just getting a strike down,” Bell said. “Where I get in trouble is when I play complacent and timid. I just got to go out and cut it loose. If I get beat, just know this: I’m going to get beat my f------ way. If I lose I’m going to lose my way.”

Bell has not started since Week 17 in 2015 when he was with the Tennessee Titans. He missed all of last season with ankle injury.
The Cowboys are hopeful that Smith - who has made the Pro Bowl every year since 2013 - will be able to play despite him not practicing this week of yet. But, if he can't go, Bell will be the guy.
