NFL Free Agency officially starts today, and the next few days will feature several Dallas Cowboys rumors. While free agency doesn't officially start until 4 p.m., teams have used the "legal tampering" days to their advantage. That means teams can discuss contracts with any player, although a deal can't be signed until Wednesday. With that in mind, here are a few of the more interesting rumors and news tidbits on the Cowboys.
Cowboys Re-Sign LB Rolando McClain
The Cowboys are bringing back LB Rolando McClain.
Source says #Cowboys deal with MLB Rolando McClain is one year, $5 million

It's another short-term deal for McClain, who missed time last year with a suspension. But bringing back McClain was a priority for Dallas, as he was the team's second-best LB behind Sean Lee.
Lamar Miller to Cowboys?
The Dolphins have decided to let starting running back Lamar Miller hit the open market and do not plan to re-sign him, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Omar Kelly, after the two sides could not agree to a contract. The Cowboys are a front-runner for Miller, reports Kelly, but so are the Houston Texans.
The #Texans remain the team to beat for Lamar Miller. The #Cowboys are in the mix for him, but not really at that price.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 9, 2016
If Miller tops the $5 million the Dolphins weren't willing to give him, the Cowboys seem likely to lose him to the Texans.
Chris Long Visit?
The Cowboys may or may not have scheduled a visit with DE Chris Long. Adam Schefter reports a visit is set up.
Former Rams DE Chris Long, who visited Washington this week, scheduled to visit the Cowboys, per source.

However, Clarence Hill reports one isn't scheduled, yet.
Per a Cowboys source, no visit has been set up yet with Chris Long. Doesn't mean it won't happen. But not set up at this time

The Cowboys do have a need at DE, and a buy-low candidate like Long makes plenty of sense.
Cowboys Interested In Cedric Thornton?
The Cowboys need defensive line help, and that might result in them going after Cedric Thornton.
The #Cowboys and #Seahawks are among the teams interested in #Eagles DL Cedric Thornton. His market's starting to heat up.
— Rand Getlin (@Rand_Getlin) March 9, 2016
Thornton played for the Eagles' in the 3-4 scheme last season. He played DE, but could shift inside to defensive tackle for the Cowboys.
