Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has been hit with a four-game suspension by the NFL for a violation of the league's personal conduct policy, per NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.
The suspension stems from a February incident where Randle was the subject of a domestic violence call. Randle was not criminally charged, but the NFL conducted its own investigation and concluded that the situation warranted a violation and mandatory suspension.
Dallas cut Randle last week. He cleared waivers and is currently a free agent. Randle is still free to sign with another team, but he'd have to sit out the suspension before either practicing or playing.
It's unlikely that Randle will sign with anyone this year, especially at this juncture in the 2015 season. However, it's possible someone will take a chance on him come training camp next year.
