The Dallas Cowboys are ending the Joseph Randle era, as the team will cut the former starting running back.

Randle took over for the departed DeMarco Murray, but lost his starting job to Darren McFadden after an injury. After he was benched, Randle reportedly left the team's facility. That may have been the last straw in long line of issues Randle has had with Dallas.
He is under investigation by the NFL for a domestic violence incident from February, and Randle was also found with marijuana. He also was arrested for shoplifting in October of 2014.
The Cowboys are down to McFadden, Christine Michael and Rod Smith on the roster at running back, so the team might add (or trade) for third one.
