Hurns caught 39 passes for 484 yards and 2 touchdowns last year despite another injury-riddled season. Hurns hasn’t broken 500 yards the last 2 seasons but did break the 1,000-yard marker in 2014. But with only a two-year, $12 million deal, it’s a strong signing for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys WR depth chart has gone through a bit of a face lift this offseason with WR Brice Butler heading out and Allen Hurns and Deonte Thompson coming in. Hurns gives the Cowboys the #2 receiver they have been looking for opposite WR Dez Bryant after Terrance Williams struggled last year.
Hurns can line up outside and inside, which would spell trouble for both WR Terrance Williams and WR Cole Beasley. Most importantly, as shown in the video, Hurns has the route-running ability to get open. That’s exactly what QB Dak Prescott needs.
