The Dallas Cowboys are in London this weekend to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Jerry Jones is apparently loving life across the pond.
He said that he enjoys the NFL's games in Wembley Stadium, but thinks the league really needs a team in England.
“On a personal basis and speaking for the Dallas Cowboys we very much would like to have a team in London,” said Jones. “It has cache. It has an air about it of international competition I think that London is probably one of two or three cities outside of the United States that really does have all of the criteria that I would look at for having an NFL team.”
Several owners around the league have expressed interest in the idea, hoping to expand the game fully into a new market that can increase revenue.
However, there are still a lot of questions that surround having a team in London. The team would be at a competitive disadvantage from a travel standpoint, it would be harder for them to attract free agents who don't want to move to another country, and it's still undetermined if all team activities would take place in London or just the home games.
