Dallas absolutely dominated Washington from the start of this game and led 27-10 at halftime. Their defense then took over the second half as the Cowboys rested most of their starters as they cruised to the easy win.
Turning Point:
Dez Bryant caught two touchdown passes from Tony Romo at the end of the first quarter that gave Dallas a comfortable 17-7 lead they only expanded on throughout the game.
Key Stat:
Washington continued to struggle with turnovers in this one, giving the ball up four times (two interceptions, two fumbles).
Dallas MVP:
Bryant was dynamite in limited playing time, catching four passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns. Running back DeMarco Murray (20 carries, 100 yards, TD) also broke Emmitt Smith's franchise record for single-season rushing yards.
Washington MVP:
DeSean Jackson once again showed why he's one of the most dangerous receivers in the league, gaining 86 receiving yards - including a 69-yard score.
What’s Next?
Dallas finished the year with an impressive 12-4 record and will (in all likelihood) host a playoff game next weekend, while Washington ends their disappointing season with a 4-12 record.
