In Cowboys rumors today, one noted NFL analyst believes that the Dallas Cowboys are an extremely good bet to pick a defensive tackle in the first round of May's NFL Draft.
Frank Schwab of Yahoo! Sports believes that defensive tackle presents a pressing need for the Cowboys, and that there will be no better time for them to address it than in round one: "Dallas needs a lot of help, particularly on its horrible defense, and the line is a great place to start. A good inside presence is almost a must at pick No. 16, someone like Florida State's Timmy Jernigan or Pitt's Aaron Donald."
Schwab isn't exactly satisfied with the Dallas Cowboys' work at defensive end either, pointing at the loss of DeMarcus Ware as a bigger loss than the Cowboys might expect.
If the Dallas Cowboys do draft a defensive tackle with their first round pick, they may lean toward Aaron Donald -- whose versatility has been coveted by several teams in the middle of the first round. However, the Bears and Steelers pick just ahead of the Cowboys, and have been said to have eyes on the former Pittsburgh Panther standout.
