The Dallas Cowboys are undoubtedly in the market to upgrade their talent base on the defensive line this offseason. Even Jerry Jones has said as much. However, that doesn't mean that they'll break the bank for top-tier free agents like Ndamukong Suh or Jason Pierre-Paul anytime soon.
Per Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas, "the Cowboys’ free agency approach is likely to be more about numbers than signing one player at a huge price. In letting go of Ware, the Cowboys were able to compensate with guys such as Mincey, Selvie and Spencer at roughly a third of the cost."

That will likely using both the draft and the more cost-effective rungs of free agency in order to bring a host of potential options into the fray in order to evaluate their potential.
They might not be able to get an instant starter with the #27 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, but there's plenty of intriguing prospects with upside like Texas' Malcom Brown to at least consider.
