Former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Bruce Carter announced that he has signed a four-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, enhancing Dallas' need to find a linebacker on the open market.
Carter was drafted in the second round in 2011 and has started for each of the past three seasons for the Cowboys.
This news comes just a day after Justin Durant signed a three-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons.
Rolando McClain, who started for the Cowboys last season alongside Carter and Durant, remains a free agent, and Dallas is pushing hard to re-sign him in order to avoid losing all three starting linebackers from last year's team.
