Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has requested a trade to the Dallas Cowboys, according to Bleacher Report.
Peterson is under contract with the Vikings through 2015, and Minnesota's front office has no plans to trade him. However, Peterson told ESPN that he's still uneasy about returning to Minnesota because of the way they handled his child abuse allegations during the season.
"There were people (in the organization) that I trusted, who knew exactly what was said, that weren't heard from," Peterson said. "It's hard to say (what my future will be). I'm still uneasy, to be honest with you. I'm still uneasy about a lot of things that took place within the organization. Of course those guys ultimately supported me, and I'm grateful for that. But ultimately, with me being able to be on the inside and see how cards were dealt, how things were worded, this, that and the other, it's about protecting your brand, your organization, what you have built. In the (grand) scheme of things, not one person counts over that. I get that."
Dallas is obviously very interested in Peterson because he's widely considered to be the best running back in the league, and with DeMarco Murray potentially hitting the free agent market, Peterson might be the only player who would be an upgrade.
