Cowboys news received a double whammy when defensive tackle Jason Hatcher left the team via free agency earlier this month.
Firstly, they lost the most productive member of their starting defensive line. Secondly, they lost him to their hated NFC East rivals -- the Washington Redskins.
To make matters even worse, Jason Hatcher isn't heading to the despised Washington Redskins quietly. He is taking to Twitter in order to return fire on some of his biggest detractors.
Take this exchange, transcribed by the Dallas Morning News:
"Benjamin Orgel: you are a trader. Who goes from the Cowboys to the Redskins? I hope the Deadskins and you suck for years and years to come
Jason Hatcher: I'm not a trader I'm a traitor and also I'm hated. Tell me something I don't know. I'm going to sleep good tonight. Lmao!"
Or this one:
"Harrison Stanley: In the two games of Cowboys v Redskins, I bet @hatcher97, won't be close to touching Romo. We all know you're in it for $$$ not for the win
Jason Hatcher: I'm the best pass rusher in the game buddy. Remember that."
While all of this probably amounts to good-natured smack talk, Hatcher isn't endearing himself to his former fan base and new rivals whatsoever.
