The Dallas Cowboys have the best record in the NFC halfway through the season with a 7-1 mark, but now comes perhaps their toughest test of the season against the Steelers. Many are calling for a Pittsburgh win, but we know better than that. Here are three reasons why the Cowboys will win their eighth-straight game and beat the Steelers:
3) Limited Ben Roethlisberger
Roethlisberger is making his second straight start after missing a game with a knee injury, but it's clear he isn't quite right. In their loss to the Ravens, he was only 23/45 passing for 264 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Accuracy was an issue with him all day long, and he wasn't able to drive the ball down the field. If that's the case again, Dallas will load the box to stop Le'Veon Bell, severely limiting Pittsburgh's offense.
2) Trending in opposite directions
Along with Big Ben's struggles, the whole Steelers team is struggling. They've lost three straight games, allowing 26 points per game over that stretch while only scoring 15 points per game. On the flip side, the Cowboys are the hottest team in the league, winning their last seven games in a row. That momentum - in both directions - should play a big factor in this game.
1) Ezekiel Elliott vs. Pittsburgh's run defense
The Steelers rank in the bottom half of the league in yards allowed per carry, and they actually got a boost in that department after playing Baltimore's lackluster rushing attack. Ezekiel Elliott is not going to give the Steelers an easy time. He is averaging five yards per carry, and has ripped off seven runs of at least 20 yards. Expect a few more big runs from Elliott on Sunday.
