The NFL trade deadline is fast approaching on Oct. 31 at 4:00 pm ET, and for a team like the Dallas Cowboys that has playoff expectations but has underachieved so far this season, they could use that deadline to acquire a major piece moving forward. There are a number of quality players that figure to be available this year, so who could the Cowboys target? Here are the top three players:
WR Martavis Bryant
Bryant has reportedly requested a trade from the team due to a lack of touches and is looking for a fresh start, and while he has denied that report, teams around the league are undoubtedly calling Pittsburgh about his availability. Dallas' offense has been lacking a deep threat with Dez Bryant not being the explosive athlete he once was. Adding Bryant would make defenses pay for loading the box to stop Ezekiel Elliott.

RB Thomas Rawls
A temporary restraining order is allowing Elliott to play this weekend, but the Cowboys know they could lose him for six games at any given time. Enter Rawls, a quality back and proven starter who could replace him and be a major upgrade over Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden. Seattle already has a crowded backfield with C.J. Prosise, Eddie Lacy, and Chris Carson, meaning they could be wiling to gat with Rawls.
CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
The New York Giants suspended CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie last week after he left practice following a disagreement with head coach Ben McAdoo, which reportedly started during their loss to the Chargers. Rodgers-Cromartie is upset with his role with the team, as he is being used mostly in the slot instead of on the outside. He started on the outside for Eli Apple on Sunday but was quickly moved back inside.
DRC is under contract through the 2018 season, but with his unhappiness, New York could easily decide to trade him - especially with talented corners like Apple and Janoris Jenkins already on the roster. With Dallas' youth and struggles in the secondary, there's not doubting Rodgers-Cromartie would be an upgrade.
