CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Tyronn Lue has some secret plans to fix the Cavaliers' defense, snap his team out of this season-long slumber at that end of the court and lock down opponents come playoff time.
No, really, he does. He dropped hints about these plans all over the place after the Cavs were whupped again, this time 127-115 by the Washington Wizards.
Even the casual fan knows by now the defense is in dire straights. John Wall torched them for 37 points, including 18 in the first quarter on 8-of-8 shooting. Washington shot 60 percent for the game, had 27 fast-break points (but Lue said his coaches counted 48 -- they score it differently), and were again outrebounded 40-32.
