Shumpert actually fouled Nowitzki on the crucial defensive stop near the end of regulation of the Cavs’ 110-107 overtime victory against the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday night, the league ruled in its Last 2 Minutes report released Wednesday.
It was one of six calls officials missed during the final two minutes of regulation and the five-minute overtime session. Among the others was a foul on LeBron James’ dunk with 21 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Both James and David Blatt screamed for a foul call on Devin Harris, but didn’t get one. The league ruled Wednesday a foul indeed should have been called, which would have given James the opportunity at a three-point play and may have averted the overtime session.
