LeBron James wasn't an NBA MVP finalist this year, though he finished fourth in the voting. James not finishing as a finalist was a surprise, but perhaps even more surprising was that three voters actually left the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar off their ballots entirely. So who where the three NBA MVP voters to leave James off their ballots?
The three voters were J Michael Falgoust, Marcelo Nogueira and Richard Walker. Their ballots are also included below.
J Michael Falgoust - CSN Washington:
1. Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs
2. James Harden, Houston Rockets
3. Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
4. John Wall, Washington Wizards
5. DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors
Falgoust is the only media member to have DeRozan on his ballot and just one of five to list Wall. Of course, he covers the Wizards so perhaps there's some bias involved. The other four to vote for Wall had him at fifth.
Marcelo Nogueira - OLA
1. James Harden, Houston Rockets
2. Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
3. Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs
4. Isaiah Thomas, Boston Celtics
5. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
Nogueira had perhaps the worst ballot ever, headlined by Isaiah Thomas making the second-team all-NBA defense. Thomas is a great scorer, but his defense is terrible.

Richard Walker - Gaston Gazette
1. James Harden, Houston Rockets
2. Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
3. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
4. Isaiah Thomas, Boston Celtics
5. Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs
Walker had a pretty rough ballot as well. Much like Nogueira, he put Thomas and Curry in over LeBron James. And if you're wondering what the Gaston Gazette is, it's not a paper dedicated to the Beauty and Beast villain. It's a local paper in North Carolina with less than 8,000 Twitter followers.
