Cavs Weekly: Recapping The Week That Was & Everything To Know For This Week

The Cleveland Cavaliers still have the best record in the Eastern Conference 14 games into the NBA season, and there are no signs that they're going to slow down anytime soon. Let's get you up to speed with the week that was and the week ahead with our Cavs Weekly update:

The Week That Was

Cleveland lost their second game in a row last week against Pistons after a big night from center Andre Drummond, but rebounded in a big way once they returned home.

The Cavs kicked off their three-game homestand with a very convincing 115-100 win over the Milwaukee Bucks thanks to 27 points from LeBron James and a 22-point, 15-rebound performance from Kevin Love. The duo again led Cleveland past the Hawks in a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference Finals by a 109-97 final score, then capped the week with a 117-103 win over the Orlando Magic on Monday.

Cleveland had only won three games by double-digits prior to this week, then reeled off three wins in a row by at least 12 points.

What's Next?

The Cavs have three more games this week, starting a short two-game road trip at the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday and at the Charlotte Hornets on Friday. The game against the Hornets is the first of a back-to-back as they'll return home to face the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.

Injuries

Point guard Kyrie Irving is still out for the foreseeable future with a broken kneecap he suffered in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, and though he has been cleared for contact and weight-bearing activites, he isn't expect to return until mid- to late-December.

As for shooting guard Iman Shumpert, he is wearing a splint on his injured wrist he suffered in the offseason, may return to action by the end of December, ahead of the original target date of January.

Center Timofey Mozgov will miss at least another week and a half after suffering a strained deltoid against the Bucks.
