The Cleveland Cavs have been scouting potential trade suitors for big man Brendan Haywood's expiring contract, and it's possible they've found a fit in the Portland Trail Blazers. Via Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders:
Fun cap related concept - many asking what Cavs will do with Brendan Haywood contract - hearing they may trade it to Portland's cap space

Any team employing Haywood can terminate the final year of his $10.5 million non-guaranteed contract before August 1st without paying him. That gives the Cavs just under two weeks to offload Haywood for assets or cut him.
It's likely a trade exception could be in play here or a depth piece off Portland's bench. No concrete return has been offered up as of yet, so stay tuned.
Haywood played just 22 games for the Cavs in 2014-15, averaging 1.6 points and 1.1 rebounds in 5.4 minutes per game.
