The Cleveland Cavaliers had eight days off before the start of the Eastern Conference Finals, but they didn't show any rust. This game was never in doubt as the Cavs cruised to the 115-84 blowout victory over the Toronto Raptors.
Toronto actually held a decent lead early, as they led 17-11 halfway through the first quarter, but Cleveland closed the half on a 55-27 run to lead 66-44 at the half. The Raptors were never able to get any closer than that for the rest of the game.
Cleveland was led by 27 points from Kyrie Irving. LeBron James also had a big night with 24 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Kevin Love contributed 14 points. Neither of them played in the fourth quarter.
DeMar DeRozan had 18 points to lead Toronto, but he didn't get any help from his teammates. Bismack Biyombo had 12 points and four rebounds, while Kyle Lowry struggled with just eight points on 4/14 shooting.
Game 2 will be on Thursday at 8:30 pm ET on ESPN.
