After playing overseas as a draft-and-stash prospect, 2015 second round pick Cedi Osman is joining the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cavs have agreed to sign 2015 draft pick Cedi Osman, sources said. Deal is 3 years, $8.3 million plus about $700,000 going to Euro buyout.

The Cavs are using a portion of their $5.2 million mid-level exception to add the young, 6-foot-8 forward, since they have no cap space. Given the luxury tax penalties and the buyout to add Osman, bringing him over from Europe costs the Cavs about $15.5 million.
Osman has played for Anadolu Efes in Istanbul, Turkey since the Cavs drafted him. The now 22-year-old led his team with 13.4 points per game, while shooting 38.7 percent on 3-pointers. The Cavs sent the No. 24 overall pick (which was PG Tyus Jones) to Minnesota for the No. 36 pick (Rakeem Christmas) and the No. 31 overall pick, which was Osman.

Osman provides the Cavs with so much needed youth. They had no draft picks this year and no salary cap space, meaning they couldn't add any young talent. It's unclear just how much playing time Osman will get right away.
