Thanks to a record night from behind the arc, the Cleveland Cavaliers picked up a 107-90 win over the Detroit Pistons. It was just a two-point Cavs lead at the half, but Cleveland outscored Detroit 27-15 in the third quarter to pull away.
The Cavaliers had an incredible night from 3-point range, hitting 20 of 38 3-pointers. It's the most 3-pointers in a playoff game in franchise history and matches the NBA record for more 3s in an NBA playoff game. The Pistons were just 4 of 17 from behind the arc.
LeBron James led the way for the Cavs, putting up 27 points and six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Kyrie Irving had 22 points, four assists and no turnovers. The Cavs even had a big night from J.R. Smith, who had 21 points and five rebounds. He hit seven 3-pointers. Kevin Love had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Five Pistons had double figures, but it wasn't enough for Detroit. Andre Drummond led the way with 20 points and seven rebounds. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Tobias Harris both had 13 points and eight rebounds. However, they were a combined 8 of 23 from the field.
Game 3 of the series is Friday in Detroit. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. ET.
