"What-ifs" surround potential Cleveland Cavs, LeBron James reunion

The Cleveland Cavs have been talking about a potential reunion with LeBron James ever since this past offseason. Now it seems that people are actually listening to what they have to say.

Chris Sheridan of Sheridan Hoops ruminated about this in a blog post on Thursday afternoon, stating that he is "starting to believe that the possibility exists, however remote."

He also threw out a ton of hypothetical scenarios which could lure LeBron back to the place where it all began:

What if the Miami Heat lose to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals? Or lose to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals.

What if LeBron misses the hero worship that embodied his time in Akron and Cleveland? What if he wants to be loved again the way he once was?

What if the Cavs are willing to give up the No. 1 pick in the draft to acquire Kevin Love prior to LeBron’s free agency on July 1? What if playing with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love is appealing to LeBron?

If all of those scenarios play out in the Cleveland Cavs' favor, it is not altogether unlikely that the city could be witness to the re-crowning of Cleveland's favorite king.

However, the first step is the trickiest. The Heat go back to Miami tied one game apiece with the Pacers, and even a trip back to the NBA Finals may be too much for LeBron to walk away from South Beach in 2014-15.
