The Cleveland Cavaliers had championship aspirations coming into the season, but a disappointing 5-7 start has revealed many issues that this team needs to resolve.
LeBron James gave his take on the Cavs' struggles prior to their game against the Orlando Magic.
"We got a four-game losing streak, so I stink," he said. "I'm not doing my job. Me being the leader of the team, if I start hanging my head low then it's going to start going to everyone else," he said. "They look up to me. They look to me to make a difference and I've got to stay positive even through the rough times. As I've said before, this is not the darkest point that we'll see this year. I've seen dark and this is very light to me."
James called the Cavs a "fragile team" after their 110-93 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night, and told his teammates that the season is "going to get worse before it gets better".
LeBron went through similar struggles when he joined the Miami Heat in 2010 as he, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh had to figure out how to play together. They started that season 9-8 before making it to the NBA Finals that year.
James is averaging 24.7 ppg, 5.9 rpg, and 6.8 apg so far this season for the Cavaliers.
