Cleveland got out to a hot start despite LeBron James being out with a sprained wrist, and took a 54-44 lead into halftime. Portland fought back in a big way in the second half, but Kyrie Irving drilled his 11th (ELEVENTH!!) three-pointer of the night with just six seconds left in the game to break a 94-94 tie and give Cleveland the hard-fought win.
Cleveland MVP:
Kyrie Irving was absolutely on fire in this one, stepping up in LeBron's absence and severely outplaying Damian Lillard. He dropped an astonishing 55 points - including 11 three-pointers, one shy of tying the NBA record - while still dishing out five assists.
Portland MVP:
Aldridge was almost every bit as good as Irving was in this one, scoring 38 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, but he didn't get a lot of help from his teammates.
