Cleveland Cavs: GM David Griffin "confident" he will return

In tonight's look into the Cleveland Cavs, acting Cavs general manager David Griffin believes that he will be the man going forward for the team into 2014-15 and beyond.

According to Jodie Valade of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, "Cavaliers acting general manager David Griffin sounded hopeful of the interim tag being removed from his title soon, and in a news conference proclaimed his eagerness to get to work improving this Cavaliers team that finished 33-49 and well below expectations."

"I feel no great sense of wonder," Griffin stated in regards to his potential job security. "I feel very confident ownership and myself will be moving in the same direction. But I also don't need to hear from them to know that I need to get better."

David Griffin also asserted that the team has shifted gears from "asset accumulation mode" to "targeted acquisition mode," looking to put their projected $26 million in salary cap space to good use in this summer's free agent market.
