In today's look into the world of Cavs rumors and news, the Cleveland Cavs are working on a potential trade with the Brooklyn Nets that would give the Cavs some financial flexibility for 2015 and a solid contributor on the wing.
Here's the lowdown from Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio:

According to Grantland's Zach Lowe, both the Nets and Cavs would make out well in a potential swap between the two:
Potential Jack move (via @ESPNSteinLine) looks like hedge against Livingston leaving in free agency. For CLE, it's $ and getting a wing..

Jarrett Jack still has two guaranteed years left on his contract with the Cavs - a risk that the Nets seem willing to take as insurance for Livingston potentially walking in free agency. Due to their luxury tax situation, ESPN's Marc Stein reports that they can only offer Livingston a three-year, $10 million contract. That may not be enough to keep him.
For the Cavs, Marcus Thornton's expiring contract would give them more salary cap flexibility for the summer of 2015. They would also get a solid bench producer in Thornton who they might be able to re-sign on the cheap after the season.
We will have more on this story as additional information is made available.
