After being pulled for the fourth quarter during Friday night's 99-90 Cleveland Cavs loss to the Boston Celtics, LeBron James wasn't miffed by having to sit out.
Even though a 37-point outburst for the Cavs in the 3rd quarter went to naught with the Celtics taking advantage of a Cavs squad without James and Kevin Love on the floor in the final 12 minutes, James understands head coach David Blatt's decision to pull the star duo.
"Of course, being a competitor, for sure, it's tough to sit out a fourth quarter in a close game," James said, via Cleveland.com. "But for me being a 12-year veteran, the bigger picture is always what's important. For us, what's important is to stay in a rhythm, and I think we got some really good minutes out of the guys that was in the lineup tonight, the big guys that play the bulk of the minutes."
The Cavs clinched the East's #2 seed on Wednesday, and they have literally nothing to play for with the regular season winding down. So, it's likely we'll see a lot less of James/Love/Kyrie Irving and a lot more of the bench as the team's Big 3 gets some rest before the playoffs.
