The Cleveland Cavaliers acquired forward Kevin Love in a blockbuster trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves over the summer, but Love was close to being dealt to Golden State.
The Warriors had a trade for Love lined up with Minnesota, but talks fell apart when they refused to add shooting guard Klay Thompson to the deal.
Ahead of tonight's showdown between the Cavs and Warriors, Love addressed that he paid a lot of attention to the Golden State rumors. He thought about playing with them, but when LeBron James reached out to him after he signed with Cleveland, Love said "that was kind of put to an end".
Love has struggled with the Cavs for much of the season, but is still putting up 16.9 points and 10.4 rebounds in 34.5 minutes per game.
